Abbi has started the year off right---she knew Castle (Ghost) stole the sneakers from Mr. Charles's store and she is the luck winner of the holiday bonus trivia. She has earned 5 points for Ms. Gearhart's class! Way to go!
Ghost is one of my favorites on this year's list (and author Jason Reynolds is a favorite, too!) There are many novels written about football and baseball, but this is one of the only ones I'd read about track. If you enjoyed it, be sure to read the other books in the Track series: Patina, Sunny, and Lu. The characters overlap and the stories connect, but each book stands on its own featuring a different member of the team. They were terrific!
